Brushed velvet tannins, plenty of tannic grip and a spicy core, this has the character of the vintage, with an architecture that is a little chunky and takes its time to stretch out, but once it relaxes, the finish is long and refreshing, with edges of rosemary, sage, safffron and slate. Aromas of plums and currants with hazelnut, mocha and leafy herb undertones. It’s medium-bodied, juicy and textured with supple tannins and a flavorful finish. 60% cabernet sauvignon and 40% merlot. Drink or hold.

The 2022 Clos Floridène is a bold, pungent wine, with strong savory and gamy flavors I don't recall seeing in the past. I have to admit, the 2022 is a bit of a mystery. It has quite a bit of fruit density, but where it is headed is a bit unclear.
