Tasting Notes and Scores
Once again this tiny stable of Doisy Daëne dry whites is right at the top of the vintage - and for me this year it's the Sauvignon Blanc version that really hits the heights. Green-gold in colour this delivers a juicy, poised and full of flavour wine. Expect passion fruit, preserved citrus, papaya, mango, lime zest, white flowers, so much breadth of flavour, tension and texture, push and pull, edges of gunsmoke. Brilliant, with the high acidity of the year wrapped in slate and silk. One of the whites of the year. 15% new oak. Dubourdieu family owners.

EP 2025
The 2025 Doisy-Daëne has an intense nose with plenty of botrytised fruit, wonderful delineation, quite nuanced this year, with quince and light white peach scents intertwined with saffron. The palate is well balanced with a keen line of acidity, so pure and quite minerally, yet your senses are just awash with that layered botrytised fruit that lingers in the mouth. What a stunning Barsac.

EP 2025
A mineral, chalky, fresh nose followed by crips and tangy lemon and lime juice on the palate. Succulent and round, a dollop of almost sweet pineapple followed by a creamy, fresh salty, slate finish. Lovely, mouthwatering and vibrant.
