From this small estate, the Guinaudau family (who also own Chateau Lafleur) consistently produces a top-notch wine from its 40-acre vineyard. A blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc, the 2009 is the best Grand Village I have ever tasted. Offering considerable value, it is a fat, plump wine displaying loads of red and black fruits, outstanding purity, and a long finish. Drink it over the next 5-7 years. (Tasted once.)
