Tasting Notes and Scores
Inviting aromas include a charming burst of candied citrus and stone fruit leading to freshly baked lemon meringue pie. Subtle floral tones and a touch of creamy pastry add further allure, creating an aromatic profile that feels generous yet refined. The wine strikes a fine balance on the palate, which is smooth and vibrant: lively freshness lifts the fruit without feeling sharp or austere, which can happen in 2025. So, no rough edges, as everything is nicely integrated and the wine moreover avoids flatness, maintaining tension and energy via a supple texture giving a sense of depth without heaviness. The ageing in 70% new oak will add further breadth, and there is no sense of over oakiness. An enjoyable wine that combines charm and drinkability.
Decanter
Flinty gunsmoke reduction, campfire and cold ash, rich apricot and papaya, crab apple, liquorice root and slate. Large oak casks for ageing. High aromatics but on the palate the balance is clear. 3.23 pH. Harvest August 6 to September 3. 80% new oak. Christine and Philippe Gervoson.

The 2025 Larrivet Haut-Brion Blanc is one of the most unique, extroverted whites in Bordeaux. Baked apple tart, candied ginger, pear and buttery Chassagne-like overtones blossom, conveying tons of nuance and character. This is impeccably done.
