Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2017 la Tour Blanche gives up pronounced lime cordial, grapefruit and apricot preserves notes with orange blossoms, ginger and candied peel. The palate offers wonderful concentration, silken texture and bold freshness, finishing with fantastic length.

The 2017 La Tour Blanche has a very elegant and controlled bouquet, perhaps atypically for an estate that usually produces one of the more decadent Sauternes aromatics (not that I am complaining, for the record). The palate is very intense with layers of pure botrytized fruit, clear honey laced with orange zest and mandarin that segue into a dense, rich but fresh finish that is pure botrytized joy. Excellent. - vinous.com, May 2018

Tasted blind. Pale gold colour. Slightly peppery, with ginger and heather honey on the nose. Very youthful, with precise, vibrant fruit and excellent drive. Not overly broad, it is instead deep and long. A vertical wine with excellent ageing potential. (TP)
