Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 01/01/2003 Sexier in its life, but again far less impressive from bottle than cask, the 1985 Latour a Pomerol shows considerable amber at the edge. Some sweet mulberry, cranberry, and cherry fruit is intermixed with fruitcake, cedar, and black tea notes. The wine is medium-bodied and very elegant, with soft tannin in a modest finish. Drink it up. Anticipated maturity: Now-2007. Last tasted, 1/02.
