Tasting Notes and Scores

87 RP

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 01/01/1998 This is a corpulently-styled L'Evangile, with a dark garnet color revealing some amber at the edge. The wine offers sweet, smoky black fruits intermixed with earth and smoke. In the mouth, the wine is round and generous, with no hard edges, and plenty of intensity. There is more of a monolithic quality to the wine than its aromatics suggest. Fully mature, it should continue to hold (where well-stored) for 5-7 years. Last tasted 3/94.
