Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2013 La Petite Eglise, which Denis Durantou poured from magnum since this is how the entire production was bottled, has a precise and fragrant bouquet with crushed stone scents filtering through the red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with crisp tannin, tensile and fresh in the mouth, not powerful or deep, but lively and playful from start to finish. This is worth seeking out. - robertparker.com, October 2016

The 2013 La Petite Eglise is soft, silky and polished, with attractive aromatic top notes from the high presence of sand in this site. Orange peel, sweet red berries and cinnamon linger on the bright, articulate finish.

(100% merlot): Bright ruby-red. Very pure aromas and flavors of fresh black fruits, cinnamon and fresh herbs. Quite stylish, with beautiful mineral hints that linger nicely. Stands out for its purity and precision.

Magnum. Tasted blind. Rather dull greyish ruby and a bit too high in acidity to drink now. Lots of chewy tannin. Not ready yet and possibly from a less than fully ripe vintage. (JR)
