Tasting Notes and Scores
A juicy and savory wine with velvety tannins and a fresh and clean finish.
James Suckling
The 2015 Pibran is ample, juicy and absolutely delicious, all qualities that make it an excellent choice for drinking now and over the next few years. Floral notes add lift to the racy, red stone fruit. The 2015 is an unusually polished, nuanced Pibran. vinous.com, February 2018

Offers very nice purity from the get-go, with a core of cassis and cherry flavors that glide along, carried by a very fine chalky thread. This is lovely, with length and cut.
Wine Spectator
The 2015 Pibran is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon and 50% Merlot, matured in 50% new oak for the next 18 months. It was picked between 21 September and 8 October. It has a precise, tightly wound bouquet at first, graphite-tinged black fruit gently unfurling with a suggestion of iodine in the background. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin, perhaps a little coarseness that will be abided by time, moderate depth leading to a classic, foursquare, tobacco-tinged finish. This is a slightly conservative Pibran, but stylish and sure to give 10-15 years of drinking pleasure.

50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Merlot.
Bright crimson. Mineral start and quite a bit of sweetness. Racy and lively. A little sour on the end. Pretty drying tannins. Sweet and sour wine without anything quite knitting it together. But there is some delivery of 2015 charm...
