A gentle hint of wood frames unusually elegant and expressive aromas of red and black pinot fruit, earth, underbrush and a touch of leather, which continues onto the earthy, rich and full-bodied flavors that are supple and underpinned by relatively fine tannins, all wrapped in a finish displaying the classic finishing austerity. This is a serious wine yet it doesn't lack for elegance or refinement. Drink: 2012+
