Tasting Notes and Scores
Carillon's 2017 Puligny-Montrachet Village is showing well from bottle, wafting from the glass with a lovely bouquet of fresh pear, peach, white flowers and wheat toast. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and racy, with a charming and expressive core of fruit, fine tension and a mineral finish.

In tank since the end of August and will be bottled in March. A blend of seven lieux-dits. 15% new oak, the older barrels up to six years old. Intense and pure citrus and green fruits. ‘We want length not breadth’, says Jacques Carillon. At the moment really fruity but it will become more stony/mineral. Tight and long and so pure. Impressive intensity, streamlined. (JH)
