Tasting Notes and Scores
From vines in Comblanchien and Brochon, the 2018 Cote de Nuits-Villages (Maxime Cheurlin Noellat) mingles notes of raspberries and rose petals with hints of raw cocoa and espresso roast. Medium to full-bodied, charming and succulent, it's a lively and gourmand wine, with ripe, powdery tannins and bright acids.
Drink 2021 - 2037.

Purchased grapes coming from Curtil-Vergy. Deep purple, ripe sunny nose, a purple patch here, ripe redcurrants and deep raspberry, a useful touch of oak, attractive sweet fruit all the way through. As soon as it has digested its oak his will be excellent. Note the correct balancing acidity. Tasted Nov 2019.

The 2018 Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits Rouge comes from purchased fruit. The bouquet features ripe, opulent blueberry and oassis aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins and good acidity, perhaps just missing a little density on the finish. Fine. Jan 2020
