The 2020 Chassagne-Montrachet Les Grands Clos 1er Cru has another pretty, lilting bouquet with white flowers and hints of honeysuckle, opening with modest aeration. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and fresh with dried peach and mandarin towards the finish. This is another fine Chassagne to seek out from the Domaine.

Cask sample. Light but neat nose. Razor-sharp acidity. Very pure and rewarding. Almost Chablis-like wet-stone quality! But a little light on the finish. Yet another 16.5! (JR)
