The 2013 Gevrey-Chambertin is quite sinewy and powerful in style. Hints of blue and purplish fruit, lavender, mint and cloves are framed by slightly firm tannins in a classically austere Burgundy that needs time to fully come together.

Bright red. Sexy, expressive aromas of red cherry, red licorice, minerals, spices, leather and game. Good intensity to the youthfully tart cranberry and cherry fruit. A bit lean in the style of the year but finishes with excellent vivacity and juicy cut. A distinctly red-fruit style of Gevrey.
