Tasting Notes and Scores
(the first vintage for this wine, from 35-to-40-year-old vines Cheurlin that recently purchased; production was cut by 75% due to the frost; just about finished with its malo but not yet sulfited): Deep red-ruby. Inviting musky aromas of blackberry, mocha and leather. Densely packed and slightly high-toned, offering very good sweetness and energy to its supple dark berry flavors. Conveys a fairly large palate impression and finishes spicy and long, with dusty tannins arriving late.
