Tasting Notes and Scores
An almost mute nose is comprised of highly complex aromas of citrus, pear, petrol, tea, green apple and floral characters. The full-bodied, dense and overtly muscular flavors are deep, dense and impressively scaled while displaying terrific power on the gorgeously long finish. In particular I like the palate staining dry extract, which should permit this to age well for at least a decade and more probably 12 to 15 years. Drink: 2025+.

A negociant cuvée. Pale lemon and lime. An immediate brilliant heady bouquet, this is sublime from the start with a lemon and eggs note on the palate, avoiding the sweet and sour aspect. Excellent acidity and plenty of kick behind. Oak has faded into the wine but you can see the discipline. In fact, the intelligent oaking is one of the factors that deliver the grip to this wine. Drink from 2024.

Pale, bright yellow. Vibrant aromas of orange zest, lime leaf, linden flower and crushed rock. Dense, thick and utterly seamless, but a bit heavier and less refined than the Chevalier-Montrachet. This big boy displays outstanding depth of fruit and a slightly exotic soft citrus character. Incidentally, this wine is carrying a moderate 13% alcohol. Boillot has long maintained that alcohol is inversely proportional to energy, and that a white Burgundy at 14% is unlikely to have real vigor.
