With a reserved but elegant nose of wild strawberry and touch of gamey richness, this is a classic example of Beaune; the palate is soft on entry but held together by elegant, fine tannins and beautifully balanced acidity. The ripe, red fruit flavours are complemented by pleasant, lightly herbal freshness and the finish is long and harmonious. Superb value.
