Full, bright yellow. Pure but reticent aromas of white peach, spices and spring flowers. Pristine and intensely flavored but more imploded than the Chalumeaux, conveying a tight grain and noteworthy inner-mouth lift to its bracing citrus and white peach flavors. The slowly building whiplash of a finish is wonderfully suave and seamless, with high notes of mint and wild herbs giving the wine a perfumed quality.

Bottled. A hint of cedar over the lemon/grapefruit notes. A little more intense than the Puligny village wine and better length. Again, that salty aftertaste, which increases the freshness but would probably be better at the table. (JH)
