Tasting Notes and Scores

91.5 ST

Deep red. Aromatic nose of blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, minerals and lead pencil. Dense but imploded, with excellent intensity and delineation of flavor. Finishes with substantial oak tannins. This structured, concentrated wine strikes me as just ripe enough to really blossom with time in bottle.

Vinous

Aromatically similar to the Echézeaux with its floral, crushed black fruit nose but there is even more Asian spice box quality here and a clear element of breed and sophistication. Discreet, understated, complex and complete flavors lead to a wonderfully detailed, persistent and relatively fine finish underpinned by ripe yet firm tannins. Very impressive juice and this could surprise on the upside.
