Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2014 Morey-Saint-Denis les Très Girard, which will include 25% new oak in the final blend, has a very attractive floral bouquet with blackcurrant pastilles and light violet scents. The oak here is discrete. The palate is medium-bodied with supple, ripe tannin. There is a pleasing salinity here, but it is the backbone, the tannic framework that really works here, with those marn soils coming through nicely. This is recommended.

Good dark red. Classic Morey aromas of black raspberry, spices, mocha and bitter chocolate. Dense, supple and slightly saline, conveying lovely vinosity and perfume to its black raspberry and spice flavors. Nicely pure village wine with supple tannins and good length. I like the balance of salinity and fruit.
