The 2015 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Allots includes 25% whole bunch fruit and was due to be racked, so the nose was a little disjointed when I tasted it from barrel. The palate shows plenty of succulent ripe black cherry fruit with a touch of blueberry, good structure here with a generous spicy finish. Good potential.

(racked three weeks before my visit): Healthy medium red. Very spicy, medicinal aromas of black cherry, licorice and woodsmoke come across as less ripe than the Corton. Tighter and less rich in the middle palate than the last few samples, offering juicy dark fruit flavors and a repeating medicinal quality. Finishes with substantial broad tannins. In a distinctly closed stage today following the recent racking.
