Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2016 Pommard Les Pezerolles 1er Cru has a more powerful and denser bouquet than its peers. Raspberry, crushed strawberry and earthy aromas are well defined although, it clearly require bottle age. The palate is medium-bodied with gentle but firm tannins, very well balanced with a tangible mineral undertow and a poised and quite persistent finish. Excellent - and great ageing potential to boot. Tasted blind at the 2016 Burgfest tasting. (DIAM 5 closure)
