The 2021 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru has a very perfumed bouquet with vivacious red berry fruit, loam and light sous-bois scents, a touch of fresh tobacco. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, just a slight coarseness compared to the Clos Vougeot, but I appreciate the dash of white pepper and bay on the finish. Fine.
