The 2022 Clos de la Roche Grand Cru has quite a backward nose that refuses to open despite coaxing, touches of black plum and white pepper eventually emerging. The palate is medium-bodied with firm tannins, grippy and quite masculine in style, though I find the finish a little dry at the moment.
