Tasting Notes and Scores

16.5 JH

Grenache/Mourvèdre/Syrah. A windy and relatively cool area of the appellation, clay-limestone with round pebbles. Vinified the same way as Beaucastel: each variety vinified separately. Aged for 5 years in oak. Bricky red. Meaty sweetness and senescent fruit – but more fragrant than that sounds, a little peppery. Light, dry, elegant, building to a more chewy texture on the finish.
