Lurid ruby-red. Highly expressive red and dark berry preserve aromas are complemented by incense, _ garrigue_ and floral pastille nuances. Sappy and seamless on the palate, offering deeply concentrated, primary black raspberry, bitter cherry and spicecake flavors and a touch of candied lavender. Smooth, harmonious tannins build slowly on an impressively long, seamless finish that leaves behind sappy floral and dark berry notes.

70% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 5% Mourvèdre. Harvested 21 September 2016. Maceration/fermentation time: 30 days then undergoes malolactic fermentation. Aged for 18–24 months in old foudres. Bottled November 2018. RS 1.86 g/l, TA 3.16 g/l, pH 3.59, total SO2 118 mg/l, free SO2 38 mg/l. Gamey, rich, sweet yet not heavy with herbs and the southern sun. Just the job!
