Tasting Notes and Scores
There's a real lava-flow volcanicity about this, no mistaking the origin. Strident acid, a cave-full of glistening minerals, full body and whistle-clean lemon fruit. Extremely good, such distinction and distinctiveness. (RH)

Full bottle 1,292 g. 100% Assyrtiko. Three selected vineyards with very old roots (over 120 years old); two of those vineyards are located in Pyrgos, one in Megalochori. Fermented in tank and aged for more than 12 months on the lees with frequent lees stirring. More stony citrus and slightly less evolved and layered than 2020 vintage just tasted. But on the palate the fruit seems richer and riper, the acidity less strident. Deep, intense, incredibly mouth-watering and with so much tension and freshness. Still very youthful. And then beautifully dry on the long finish. (JH)
