Tasting Notes and Scores
Poggio Antico's 2010 Brunello di Montalcino is a dark, sensual beauty. Black cherries, mocha, smoke, licorice, leather and cloves meld together in a racy, powerful Brunello built on pure texture. The style is rich, racy and super-intense, with silky tannins that support the structured finish. The 2010 spent three years in cask.

A beautifully balanced and subtle Brunello with plum, berry, spice and fresh mahogany character. Full to medium body, fine tannins and a long finish. Very intense and harmonious. This is always a beauty. Drink or hold.

Concentrated ruby with orange tinges. Sweet fruit nose with hints of leather. Gripping tannins that are backed up by ripe fruit and with a good dose of acidity on the finish. Ends a little astringent, but should improve with a couple of years in the bottle. (WS)
