Tasting Notes and Scores

Fermentation in large oak casks with total skin maceration for 40 days. Aged for 36 months in 500-litre French oak barrels (80% new, 20% second use). Deep lustrous ruby. Very youthful and compact nose yet with plenty of concentration and complex oak notes. Rich cherry fruit with notes of sweet spices and a hint of mint. Very supple and open, yet not heavy. Lots of juicy fruit spiked with oak and a rich layer of crunchy tannins on the finish. (WS)
