The 2006 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva Vigna Paganelli offers up plums, black cherries, tar, menthol and a host of other balsamic nuances. The Riserva shows gorgeous inner perfume and an extra touch of density in the fruit that balances the building tannins through to the imposing, regal finish. The 2006 Riserva is shaping up to be another masterpiece from Il Poggione.
