The 1986 Solaia is remarkable for its fabulous overall balance. The style is a bit rustic, but that is a relatively small complaint for a wine of this age. It's pretty tough going next to the other wines in this flight. This mid-weight Solaia is best enjoyed over the next few years. -- Antonio Galloni
