Tasting Notes and Scores
(the name means gypsy in Greek, the owner's native country, and is a blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and petit verdot, aged in new barriques Fullish ruby-violet. Obvious cherry-vanilla, licorice and violet aromas. Medium-full body. Very fine, ripe merlot flavors of cherry and plum, complemented by discreet cabernet franc olive and berry notes and cassis from the cabernet sauvignon. Rich, well-extracted fruit, with firm but not astringent tannins. Fine, sweet, long finish. Shows a lot of finesse for a wine from young vines; oaky yet stylish, in the manner of a fine Medoc. ***
