Tasting Notes and Scores
Rocking the new label and proprietary glass, the 2022 Sauvignon Blanc is excellent. It’s soft and floral, with lashings of green apple, sweet pea, pink grapefruit, white currant, coriander and even kiwi fruit. Sensational wine. Cloudy Bay has a big reputation for a reason. They age, too, so keep that in mind. 13.5% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.

Stands out for its intensity, with ruby grapefruit, yuzu and lemon essential oil details, plus notes of fresh-clipped, aromatic herbs centered around lemon thyme on a sleek, juicy frame. Long, expressive finish.
Wine Spectator
The Cloudy Bay 2022 Sauvignon Blanc isn't up to its usual standards and you can blame a tricky season for that. The volume is dialed down on the aromatics with modest concentration of passionfruit and green characters. It is soft and full, but somewhat lacking in energy. It already looks a little developed so drink asap.

Lime juice, grassy, pure and intense. Impressively textural and powerful with great clarity of fruit. The acid is bright and persistent but the fruit keeps up. It is still a flag-bearer for the region. (Richard Hemming MW)
