Trudy is a play on the words 'true ruby'. Intended to be higher quality than the Ruby Dum. Old field-blend vineyards in the Mendiz Valley. RS 100 g/l. Sample is very chilled so I may not be getting everything from it, especially the aroma. Rich blackberry fruit, ripe, spicy damson. Serious ruby port, a bit more like a very good LBV with its dark, savoury aftertaste. Big, smooth tannins and great freshness. GV (JH)
