Tasting Notes and Scores
The elegant, dark plum/purple/garnet-colored 2004 Dominus exhibits a big, sweet, cedary, roasted herb, mocha, black cherry liqueur, black currant, and earth-scented perfume. Medium to full-bodied with silky tannin as well as a luscious mouthfeel and finish, it should be more accessible in its youth than many of its predecessors, but easily last for two decades.

Tasted at the Margaret River Cabernet tutorial. A deep garnet core. The nose really opens up in the glass, stewed figs, thyme, hung game and dates. Good definition, more open and accessible than the 2005. A sweet entry, rounded tannins, good acidity, supple with meaty, spicy flavours especially on the clove tinged finish. Moderate length, just a little disjointed perhaps although it should come together. Drink 2012-2020. Tasted November 2009.
