Tasting Notes and Scores
Crushed stones, dried roses, cedar shavings and black cherries create an enticing bouquet as the 2021 Pinot Noir Hopewell Hills comes to life in the glass. This is pure elegance on the palate, with silken textures and cool-toned acidity that adds lift alongside hints of mint, giving way to a saturation of dark red berry fruits. Staining and long, this finishes with admirable concentration yet remains remarkably fresh. There's a bright future in store for patient collectors.
Vinous
Eric Guido
Pale purple in colour. Lightly gravelly – plusher nose than the rest of the portfolio. Black cherry and black slate. Crushed vanilla and peony blossoms. Savoury rockiness to the palate, with diffuse but still high acidity. Chewy tannins and a juicy finish. Delicate floral character continues to evolve.
