The Las Pizarras range are cited by the major critics as the leading costal varietals in Chile. Borne from unique sites in Errázuriz Aconcagua Costa vineyards, these tiny and treasured ‘Grand Cru’ plots contain unique schist rich soils and ‘laminar’ metamorphic rock which were discovered by leading wine geologist, Françoise Vannier, (world famous for her extensive work in mapping the great Burgundian vineyards). These soils are the most complex in the region, sitting 12km from the Pacific Ocean in rolling hills with cooling breezes, it’s a viticulturists paradise.
