Tasting Notes and Scores
The combination of ripe blackberry fruit and a hint of something floral is immediately appealing, and the dry tannins are quite discreet, making this solid wine easy to enjoy right away. But it will improve with age.
James Suckling
This has a gentle, rounded feel that lets the mix of savory, blood orange, plum and juniper notes meld easily while gliding through the supple finish. Features an enticing profile. Just a bit shy on depth overall. JM
Wine Spectator
The 2014 D'Angludet felt a little underripe on the nose: light black fruit, slightly green underneath, one of the few to exhibit that trait. The palate is medium-bodied with a smear of bacon fat infusing the black fruit, nicely balanced towards the finish, but missing the pedigree of its peers at this stage. NM
Wine Advocate
The 2014 d’Angludet has a light nose of red brambly fruit mixed with gravelly tones. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, cranberry and raspberry with a light, peppery and you might say, innocuous finish. This is quite forward but it has the substance to repay cellaring.

Bright crimson. Fresh and lively. Very transparent and racy. Bit of stoniness. Bit of a ballet dancer. Elegant. (JR)

Mid cherry red. Delicate, fragrant, lightish but all in balance giving an elegant freshness overall. Tannins are very fine and almost silky already. (JH)
