Tasting Notes and Scores
The red 2016 Château Grand Village is also brilliant. Mostly Merlot, it offers a structured, powerful, almost backward vibe as well as terrific black cherry and blackberry fruits. Showing more earth, herbal notes, hints of graphite, and spice with time in the glass, it’s a serious Merlot that deserves 2-3 years of bottle age and will keep for 15+ years. - jebdunnuck.com, February 2019

The Fronsac home of the Guinaudeau family - owners of no less than Pomerol superstar Lafleur. Bright, aromatic nose with real personality. Firm, sweet tannins, bright red fruits and perfume in the mouth, lifted and vibrant. Minerality and power. Charming. The best GV ever? - April 2017

A juicy and savory red with berries and chocolate. Hints of walnuts. Medium-bodied, silky and fine. - March 2017

Clean and fresh on the nose. Very rich start and pretty exciting for the appellation. Pretty smart for the appellation. Amazingly long. (Cool soils, Fronsac-like.) Drink 2021-2030. - jancisrobinson.com, April 2017
