Tasting Notes and Scores
The 2013 La Chenade displays a touch more fruité than the Saintayme with red cherry, cranberry and rose petal aromas that are nicely defined. The palate is well balanced with fine, slightly edgy tannin, a touch of raspberry and citrus fruit towards the focused, gently grippy finish. This is a delicious Lalande-de-Pomerol for the vintage and outperforms many 2013 Right Banks with grander reputations.

This is really delicious and delicate with a silky, refined structure. Medium body. The aromas of roses and strawberries are so enticing. – jamessuckling.com, April 2014

80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc. Fruitcake mix, very plump on the palate, but with quite furry tannins to back it up. Attractive aniseed and juniper bitterness on the finish. Good lingering dark fruit – worth bottle ageing.– Richard Hemming (jancisrobinson.com, April 2014)
