The 2010 Chambolle-Musigny Village has fine delineation on the nose with subtle cranberry and crushed strawberry scents, a touch of tomato leaf in the background. The palate is underpinned by fine tannin, quite precise and poised yet surprisingly backward with almost a recalcitrant grip on the finish. Therefore give this another couple of years in bottle. (Barthod bottled her 2010s in May of 2012): Good medium red. Aromas of dark berries, black cherry and licorice. Sappy, serious and deep, with nicely delineated flavors of raspberry, spices and fresh herbs. Seriously structured for village wine, and juicy on the persistent finish.

The 2010 Chambolle-Musigny boasts an exotic bouquet redolent of super ripe dark cherries, flowers, mint and spices. This is a fairly exuberant wine, but there is more than enough minerality to provide balance. The balance and overall sense of harmony are first-rate.

Dark crimson. Very full and opulent nose. Sweet and ripe and blustering. (JR)
