This is also notably ripe, indeed it sidles right up to the point of being surmature with plum, warm earth, crushed herbs and a floral note that gives way to rich, full and tautly muscular flavors, indeed this is easily the most powerful wine to this point. In contrast however to the usual tendency of young Clos de Vougeot to be austere, this is suave and only moderately structured. In sum, a Clos de Vougeot of medium refinement.
