The 2020 Beaune Village is very promising, delivering notes of rich berry fruit, plums and pomegranate mingled with notions of warm spices and rose petals. Medium to full-bodied, rich and concentrated, with an ample core of fruit and ripe, powdery tannins, it's lively and penetrating. It's wonderful to see the potential of this underrated appellation so fully realized.

The 2020 Beaune Village, which is completely de-stemmed, has a lovely bouquet with red cherries, raspberry and very light touches of blood orange. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, a fine bead of acidity, quite fresh and saline with dark fruit emerging towards the piquant finish. This works extremely well.
