The 2017 Chablis La Fourchaume 1er Cru is closed on the nose, green apple and glass clipping scents reluctantly emerging with time. The palate is better, offering lime cordial and citrus peel, then orange pith, though it lacks the delineation and clarity of its peers. So-so. I suspect there are better bottles of this, hence my plus sign. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting in Savigny-lès-Beaune.
