Tasting Notes and Scores

The 2017 Chablis La Fôret 1er Cru is floral on the nose, with yellow flowers and touches of oyster shell emerging with time. The concentrated palate offers lightly honeyed fruit, though countervailing acidity keeps it on an even keel. Gaining depth toward the finish, this improves in the glass, so either cellar bottles or afford them adequate decanting. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting in Savigny-lès-Beaune.
