The estate's 2006 Barolo Cerretta is one of the finest wines I have tasted at this address. The Cerretta flows with impressive density and richness in its fruit that virtually covers the tannins all the way through to the powerful, imposing finish. Menthol, spices and a host of other balsamic aromas and flavors are woven throughout, adding further dimensions of complexity.

This is very chewy but the fruit is still there. It's drying a bit. Full body with dark-chocolate, cedar and berry character.

This is a beautiful set of 2006 Baroli from Davide Rosso, a young grower who continues to demonstrate significant promise.

There's a core of pure cherry to this red, with a vibrant structure and fine tannins. A supple wine, with nuances of licorice, tobacco and spice that linger on the aftertaste. BS
