The 2022 Meursault 1er Cru Charmes showed very well from barrel, and it's just as good in bottle. Wafting from the glass with notes of pear, waxy citrus rind, white flowers, freshly baked bread and honeycomb, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and concentrated, with an elegantly muscular profile and a long, precise finish.

Cask sample. Mid lemon. Rich, ripe nose of apple, citrus and peach. Fuller, more opulent on the palate. Fresh and lively acidity gives this real energy. (MH)
